I hope everyone is having an amazing day. \u00a0Today is the first day I have felt almost 100% since dealing with my most recent Sarcoidosis flare up. \u00a0I have literally been in bed for 5+ days. \u00a0A saint was out for a minute, breathing treatments every couple of hours. \u00a0Steroids, no sleep. \u00a0JUST ANNOYING! But He is Risen! \u00a0Today, I felt like getting up! Going to Church! and even Cooking!! \u00a0I was soo excited!<\/p>\n

Honestly, the holidays are different with Momma not being here, Rest In Heaven Momma!. \u00a0I know everyone says, it will get easier. it doesn’t. \u00a0This morning my Sissy called and said, make sure you go check on Granddaddy \ud83d\ude42 \u00a0She said yesterday, \u00a0he told her, he made dinner for one and it made him feel lonely. \u00a0Well if I ever got motivated it was then. \u00a0I literally went to church, and right after service I hit the grocery store. \u00a0We all know going to the grocery store on a holiday is a #Fail, but today fam…it wasn’t though! I was sooo surprised!<\/p>\n

I wanted to cook something simple and healthy for the fam!<\/p>\n

Sooo I made:<\/p>\n

Vegan Mac N Cheez<\/a>
\nSauteed Kale<\/a>
\nPotato Salad
\nBaked Lemon Pepper Chicken (Amish) for the Meat Eaters
\nFresh Cantaloupe and Pineapple for Dessert<\/p>\n

When I got to Daddys house he cooked Green Beans (with Meat! He’s from Down South… so I can’t judge him), Corn Bread. \u00a0My Mommy made more baked chicken and Hawaiian Rolls and then Uncle Ray came through with a his own Honey Baked Ham (My Mommy said it’s like Momma used to make it) and Potato Salad.<\/p>\n

So we had a mini feast! \u00a0I always cook, \u00a0because they will let a Saint starve! \u00a0LOL! \u00a0Either way, it’s an amazing day and the family is all together. \u00a0Love on your family while you have them. \u00a0Celebrate each other and tell each other how much you love one another.<\/p>\n

I definitely want to tell you all THANK YOU for rocking with me so many years. From the beginning, when there was only one recipe on the site. \u00a0I’m grateful for you. \u00a0I really appreciate you all. Thank you for growing with me!<\/p>\n
